Goryachy Klyuch: an era of revival

An agreement on investment in building a sanatorium was signed on the first day of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum between the administration of Krasnodar Krai, the administration of the town of Goryachy Klyuch and LeePrime Group (part of AVA Group).

LeePrime wellness resort Goryachy Klyuch is a premium sanatorium of federal significance, a revival of the golden age of the 19th-century Psekups mineral springs, where the best traditions of Soviet health resorts find new breath in the form of a premium wellness resort.

A tandem of the century-old traditions of Russian balneology and modern wellness technologies. There will be everything here for a full holiday and for wellness: a wellness centre, an aqua-thermal zone with mineral baths, comfortable bath suites and a modern wellness space with signature treatments. The resort's medical direction is a trinity: balneology, diagnostics and physiotherapy. A special place is held by the authentic log bathhouse — a living link with the centuries-old traditions of Russian bathing culture.

The project will take 3.5 years to deliver. Investment exceeds 5 billion roubles, and the project will create 230 new jobs.

The timeliness and necessity of the new wellness complex was noted by Alexander Alexandrovich Ruppel, Deputy Governor of Krasnodar Krai:

"Krasnodar Krai pays great attention to developing its tourism offering across different price segments, and it is premium hotels in particular that are in special demand — their occupancy in high season approaches 100%. Over the past 5 years we have increased the number of 4- and 5-star accommodation properties by half — there are now 354 of them at our resorts. Building the first five-star property in Goryachy Klyuch will increase tourist flows to the municipality and become a new point of attraction for guests."

"Today we signed a landmark project for Goryachy Klyuch. It is gratifying to note that hoteliers are now betting on the development of medical tourism in Goryachy Klyuch. This will make it possible to create tourism and wellness infrastructure of a new generation. Tourist flows to Goryachy Klyuch's health resorts are growing and are already comparable with those of Black Sea resorts — the average annual occupancy of accommodation properties in Goryachy Klyuch is 80–85% a year. I am convinced that new modern health resorts will create additional conditions for the growth of tourism."
