LeePrime Group — partner of the marathon "Bioeconomy: the contours of the future"

ROSBIOTECH University hosted the student innovation project marathon "Bioeconomy: the contours of the future" — a large-scale platform bringing together young researchers and representatives of science, business and the real economy. LeePrime Group took part in the marathon as an industry partner of the university.
The format's distinctive feature is that students solve real production problems faced by businesses: 17 project teams from the university's institutes defended integrated final qualification papers commissioned by enterprises. These projects become the basis for introducing new technologies and products.
The marathon was attended by Olga Petrova, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. "Today a university is a space where technologies in demand by the country's economy are created. It is especially important that students work on enterprises' real problems while still studying and propose solutions that can be introduced into production," she noted. ROSBIOTECH rector Natalya Zhukova underlined that the bioeconomy is above all people capable of creating and introducing technologies, and that bringing together education, science and industry partners allows students to build the competences of the future.
Among the marathon's industry partners alongside LeePrime Group were VkusVill, the Gamaleya National Research Centre for Epidemiology and Microbiology, the Cherkizovo meat processing plant, White Rabbit, EFKO Group and other companies interested in introducing new technologies and training highly qualified specialists.

Commissioned by LeePrime, a student team presented a project to develop a line of cosmetic products for the hospitality industry. The project was carried out by Maria Elkina, Tatyana Meleshko and Alyona Filippova under the academic supervision of Ekaterina Volnova, associate professor of the department of biotechnology and bioorganic synthesis and candidate of technical sciences.
For LeePrime Group, taking part in the marathon is a chance to support young specialists, to gain fresh technological solutions for the hotel business and to become part of a new model of engineering education in which scientific research turns into real projects for the industry.
