For the Medicine of Healthy Longevity

Moscow hosted a press conference devoted to the launch of the regional movement "For the Medicine of Healthy Longevity".

The event was attended by senior representatives of the federal government, among them Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Alekseevna Golikova, Deputy Head of the Government Staff Olga Vladimirovna Krivonos, and First Deputy Director for Development of the Roscongress Foundation and member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Anastasia Sergeevna Stolkova.

The forum became a platform for a wide-ranging discussion of strategic directions in citizens' active and healthy longevity. The movement's key initiatives were presented, including the development and support of health centres in the regions.

Adel Yunusovich Vafin noted the importance of using scientific potential and modern medical technologies at the very highest level in Russia. He underlined that joining the efforts of ministries and agencies, together with active involvement of society, will help raise knowledge about health, proper nutrition and physical activity.

The conference included an exchange of views with the participation of Andrey Arsenievich Modestov, Minister of Health of the Irkutsk Region, and Ildar Azatov Fakhrutdinov, Honoured Doctor of the Republic of Tatarstan. All participants expressed firm support for the movement "For the Medicine of Healthy Longevity" and intend to become its ambassadors. An important part of the strategy is the active involvement of the media and bloggers, who will help popularise the ideas of healthy longevity among a wide audience.
