Vafin gave particular emphasis to the experience of Tatarstan, where between 2013 and 2017 the detection rate of bowel cancer rose 6.7-fold thanks to a screening programme. Tatarstan is one of the Volga Federal District's leaders in the early detection of this disease. In 2023, 507 cases of bowel cancer were detected in Tatarstan, 70% of them at early stages.
A new test system for occult blood was introduced for diagnosis, and clear routing of biological samples to laboratories was organised. Particular attention is given to the region's enterprises, where employees are screened.
LeePrime medical is actively expanding its endoscopy departments using modern technology and is developing programmes to educate patients about the importance of screening.
An integrated approach helps detect cancer early, which significantly improves prognosis and the effectiveness of treatment. We believe that modern technology and public awareness are changing the situation for the better in the fight against colorectal cancer.
