Quality issues in practice-oriented training for students of Hotel Management

On 1–2 February the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation hosted an international academic and methodological conference on current issues in the development of Russian education, titled "Foresight in education: the ideal teacher of the future".

More than three thousand participants took part, including specialists from Russian ministries and agencies, university heads and representatives, and leading international and national experts.

In her talk, Liliya Dorokhina addressed current issues in the quality of practice-oriented training for students of Hotel Management. She underlined that today's requirements for hotel management specialists change constantly, and that it is important for curricula to keep pace with those changes.

The head of LeePrime hospitality shared the company's experience of onboarding and employing university graduates at LeePrime Group and called for closer cooperation between educational institutions and hotel industry businesses, so that students can gain real working experience and apply their knowledge in practice. Liliya Dorokhina underlined that the quality of practice-oriented training is a key factor for a successful career in hotel management.
